What is a False Positive?

A false positive occurs when Ultra Antivirus incorrectly alerts that a file is infected, or when a program or website is suspicious. Common indicators of a false positive are:

  • Ultra Antivirus detects a threat in a file that you believe is unlikely to be infected (for example, files with extensions such as, *.txt, *.dbf, *.log, *.hlp).

  • Ultra Antivirus alerts that a file or program developed and created by you or a legitimate company is suspicious, or is a threat.

You can remove these false positives by going to Recover Files on the app and selecting the files and clicking on either Recover Files, or Recover & Exclude
