Perform a Full Scan on mac

With a Full Scan, Ultra AV will scan your entire computer for malware. While a Quick Scan generally takes a few seconds, a Full Scan can take multiple hours. The time a Full Scan take depend on a variety of factors such as disk size, number of disks, and number of files on the computer. While a Full Scan is not something you have to do daily, doing Full Scans regularly is always good.

How to perform a Full Scan

To do a Full Scan, go to Scan Options > Full Scan.

Here, you have the option to select whether you want to do an additional Deep Scan, and can also select the option to turn the computer off after the scan completes. This is useful in case you start the scan before you go to bed, and want the computer to turn off automatically after the scan has been completed.

Next, select the disks you want to include in the scan.

Once you are done selecting which drives to scan, click on Start scan. You'll be taken to a new screen where the scan progress will be displayed.

A full scan can take several hours to complete. When the scan is completed, you'll be presented with a scan report, which lists which--if any--threats were discovered.
